The ballroom boasted a 1,200-square-foot dance floor and a 12-piece orchestra, along with a salsa band and dance exhibitions. WNPR radio host Faith Middleton emceed the party, which also included the auction of an Obama portrait by Connecticut artist Tony Falcone. About 1,200 people were expected to attend the event.

I was in the Newseum, which is located at the corners of 6th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009. I caught the beginning of the Presidential Inaugural parade from the inside, then recorded footage from the jumbotron in the Newseum. It wasa great day to be in Washington, D.C. I love the fact that President and First Lady Obama as well as Vice President and Second Lady Biden walked for part of the parade route and gestured a great hello to the American people.
